Here is a chance for you to personally know the mind behind one of the most
addictive sport apps.
My name is
Faizan Amjad and I’m currently studying to become a software engineer from
University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. It had always been my passion
to persue a career in this field and now that God has given me this chance, I
shall not let it go to waste. Keeping in mind my aim, I became a Microsoft
Student Partner to increase my knowledge and explore the possibilities in this
vast and expanding field. I further became an Intern at Microsoft to work with
them and get one step closer to achieving my dream.
I first came
to know of Microsoft Student Partner (MSP) from a senior of mine at my
university. Each year two of the students from each batch are chosen to become
student partners with Microsoft. My partner Talha and I were the lucky ones who
got this opportunity this year. When I first got this opportunity, the only
programming language I knew was C++ but this knowledge was inadequate to fulfill
my purpose. I, therefore, starting learning C# and XAML. The basics of
application development also needed to be learned and for this purpose I
attended online app development sessions. In all my struggle one of the helping
hands was of my senior Umair Israr, who guided me throughout. Football Quiz is
my first application that I have developed under the supervision of
Usman-ur-Rehman . I had to develop this app during my internship at Microsoft
with my partner and friend Talha Shahzad, also Microsoft Student Partner and
intern at Microsoft. Working hand in hand we have completed the first version
(1.0) of our app. We are still striving for perfection and working on the
second version (1.1) which we will be launching soon.
The first
version of FootballQuizz is exactly what die-hard football fans need. It’s
going to test your knowledge of your favorite sport; how well you know your
players, their opponents, your teams and their matches with other legends of
the football world. How far are you willing to go to become the ultimate
football fanatic? Do you have it in you to push yourself to the limits? Can you
be the one who knows all there is to know about this ultimate sport? This quiz
will help you find out and not only that but will also expand your knowledge
and add more to what you already know.
